Take buying a home, for example. This is probably the first “wealth” asset that you’ll want to acquire. But, in order to do so, you need to be making a certain amount of money from your business. To be approved for a mortgage, you may need to prove that you’re earning at least $80,000. And that’s not all! You need to have another $80,000 in the bank to afford the down payment. Can you see that getting into the wealth game carries a price?
If you want to play the game of building wealth (and you weren’t born into a wealthy family), you need to get rich first.
